I began doing wedding photography in
1980. One of the most important things I have learned is that everyone benefits
when the formal photographs are done before the wedding. Before you decide, read the following:
When and where your wedding photos are taken will affect
your entire Wedding and guest list.
The practice of not seeing each other
before the ceremony was derived when marriages were still arranged by the
parents. The father of the bride was reportedly afraid the groom might flee if
his fiancé wasn't to his liking, so they postponed the "unveiling"
until the actual ceremony.
In current times, you already know
each other. You know what the other one looks like, and you know what to expect
when you see the other one at the ceremony. This gives you
"permission" to let go of an old superstition, and have your formal
photographs done before the wedding.
You may think not seeing each other
beforehand is so romantic. If that's the way you want it to go, then do it your
way. I can recommend some photographers. Your guests will wait the hour or so
between the wedding and the reception. The wedding party will be anxious to
"get it over with", and a once in a lifetime photo session is done in
a rush while friends and family wait.
Doing the formal photos before the
wedding has some real advantages. Your photos are done in private. You get to
share the first moment when you see each other, and that too is romantic. Often
the Bride and Groom take a private moment to see each other for the first time
just before the photo session. Let me know and I'll be more than happy to accommodate

• Make-up, hair, clothing and
flowers are fresh and haven't been crushed or cried on yet.
• No guests waiting at the
reception for extended periods for the couple to make their appearance.
• The photographer doesn't have
to rush through the list of photos you requested.
• Less stress during the actual
ceremony. The nervousness is greatly reduced.
It's your day; so enjoy your wedding
and reception at your pace, not the photographers.

ENGAGEMENT PHOTO SESSION
Relaxed, casual poses and candid
photography are provided for your engagement photographs. Studio
portraits are available, however the State Botanical Gardens and the UGA campus
provide excellent backgrounds for these photos. Roundtrip travel time up to one
hour is included if you prefer another location. Plan to have your
engagement pictures taken at least six weeks before your wedding to allow
adequate time for delivery.
Included are all photographs from
your session delivered in 4x6 prints.
In addition you will receive a disk with all of your digital negatives with a copyright release.

BRIDAL PORTRAIT SESSION
This session is a perfect opportunity
for a dress rehearsal of the Wedding Day. Studio portraits are available,
however the State Botanical Gardens and the UGA campus provide excellent
backgrounds for these photos. Roundtrip travel time up to one hour is
included if you prefer another location. Plan to have your Bridal
Portrait pictures taken at least six weeks before your wedding to allow
adequate time for delivery.
Included are all photographs from

DIGITAL NEGATIVES ON CD
Included are all photos of your
wedding, engagement session, and bridal portrait session, in high definition
files with copyright release that will allow you to print your own photos at
anytime. Files are individually adjusted for proper color and contrast, and retouched
to provide the best possible result.
All or your wedding photographs are printed and delivered in photo
boxes. This option is provided so you may use your photos for gifts,
scrap booking, or selections for an album.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY CHARGE IS $2499
This base charge provides up to six hours of coverage on your wedding day. Additional hours will be billed at $100 per hour. There is no limit on the number of photographs taken during the event-Typically there are 200-300 photographs giving you complete coverage of your wedding.

and retouched to provide the best possible result. You may select from Back
and White, Sepia, and Color . The final image is printed on
professional archival photographic papers. The surface receives an ultraviolet
inhibitor and protective coating to limit damage by fingerprints and sunlight
and to maximize the life of the image. Prints sized 11x14 and larger are
delivered mounted on art board, ready to frame.
